The EU health bodies have recognized that atherosclerosis is a major cause of stroke, a leading cause of death and work incapacity. But here’s some good news: a recent Romanian-Serbian project successfully tackled this issue, with the ultimate goal of preventing and responding to strokes promptly, to save lives and restore the ability to work.

A team of dedicated neurology and psychiatry experts from both countries worked tirelessly in all stages of the project to ensure timely responses and effective treatments. With access to a well-equipped laboratory and state-of-the-art equipment, including brain CT and MRI, they thoroughly investigated ischemic stroke patients.
