This year’s message, “Don’t miss a beat”, is a powerful reminder of the importance of vigilance in heart health. It calls on all of us to recognise warning signs, maintain healthy habits, schedule regular check-ups, and seek timely medical attention to prevent cardiovascular disease-related deaths.
In the cross-border regions of Timiș (Romania), Podunavski and Central Banat (Serbia), we are answering this call through the SIPHEALTH Project: “Harmonization of cardiovascular diseases management from prevention to heart transplantation in the cross-border area”, investing €5.000.000.
Through modernised medical equipment, stronger collaboration between hospitals, and improved access to health services, SIPHEALTH is working to:
Improve the management and quality of life for patients with heart failure and acute coronary syndromes.
Ensure equal access to healthcare for more than 3,600 patients each year.
Strengthen the resilience of our health systems across borders.
On this World Heart Day, let’s remember: your heart health matters. Don’t ignore the signs. Don’t delay your check-up. Don’t miss a beat.
The project is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Romania-Serbia Programme.
