Thanks to the project “Common Challenges, Common Solutions”, local authorities from Romania and Serbia are stepping up their efforts to protect the environment and respond more effectively to ecological risks and community needs.
The first milestone? Equipping the Town of Moldova Noua with modern machinery that enhances street cleaning, green space development, and local public services.
🚜 The new equipment, including a street-sweeping and spraying vehicle, an electric utility tricycle for waste bin collection, a multipurpose utility truck with a tipping bed, a backhoe loader, and a vibratory roller, will be used to expand green areas, restore degraded land, and prepare sites for parks and recreational zones.
🗣️ “Modern equipment means faster response and visible improvements in our town. It’s about providing better public services and raising awareness of environmental challenges,” states the Municipality of Moldova Nouă.
🤝 This cross-border project is implemented in partnership by Golubac Municipality (Serbia), Coronini Municipality (Romania), and the Town of Moldova Noua as lead partner.
🇪🇺 Co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Romania–Serbia Programme.
💶 The total value of the project is €1,733,390, of which €1,473,381.57 (EU funds).
