Cross-border healthcare progress in action

Medical professionals from Romania and Serbia gathered in Zrenjanin for the first CROSSCARE Medical Seminar, an opportunity to exchange knowledge, present medical procedures, and strengthen cooperation in oncology.

🔬 During the seminar, experts from:
📍 General Hospital “Djordje Joanović” Zrenjanin
📍 OncoGen Centre, Emergency Clinical County Hospital “Pius Brînzeu” Timișoara

presented real surgical cases and innovative methods for tissue and cell processing, supporting faster and more precise cancer diagnostics in the cross-border region. Through this EU co-funded partnership, public hospitals collaborate as one medical team, improving medical services and helping patients receive better care closer to home. The event also highlighted the project’s progress and the value of EU support through the Interreg IPA Romania-Serbia Programme for strengthening public health systems.
