CROSSCARE Project, 1 Year of Progress in Personalized Cancer Care

Serbian and Romanian experts came together at OncoGen – SCJUPBT in Timișoara, on December 16, 2025, to celebrate one year of implementation of the CROSSCARE project.

The event focused on sharing know-how and practical experience in personalised cancer diagnostics and surgical treatment.

🔹 Participants explored EU-funded equipment from the CROSSCARE and ROSECAN projects during a hands-on workshop, highlighting how these tools are already advancing precision cancer diagnostics.
🔹 Medical team coordinators Florina Bojin and Vanja Kunkin presented progress from both countries, including sample processing, new equipment, and preparations for next-generation sequencing to improve patient care.

The agenda also featured inspiring scientific talks on:
• Innovative anticancer therapies
• Advanced immune and tumor analysis technologies
• NGS-driven personalized treatments
• Tumor-on-chip models for precision medicine

The practical workshop guided participants through tumour and blood sample processing, DNA extraction, and introduced NGS workflows for modern cancer research.

A successful milestone for cross-border collaboration and innovation in cancer care.
