We’re excited to share that five transformative projects have officially entered the implementation phase under the Interreg IPA Romania-Serbia Programme!

🚀 Launched following the second call for proposals, these initiatives are now turning the vision of a sustainable, energy-efficient cross-border region into reality.

With a combined investment of over €18 million, the projects are addressing climate challenges through innovation, collaboration, and practical action on the ground.

These projects span energy efficiency, renewable energy, smart infrastructure, education, and environmental recovery.

A closed landfill in Balint (Romania) is being transformed into a solar energy hub, while waste treatment in Pančevo (Serbia) is being upgraded to significantly reduce methane emissions.

A “Climate-Smart” model is taking shape in Giroc, Gottlob, and Veliko Gradište, spanning heritage preservation, digital water monitoring, and smart local governance.
