We’re excited to share that five transformative projects have officially entered the implementation phase under the Interreg IPA Romania-Serbia Programme!
🚀 Launched following the second call for proposals, these initiatives are now turning the vision of a sustainable, energy-efficient cross-border region into reality.
With a combined investment of over €18 million, the projects are addressing climate challenges through innovation, collaboration, and practical action on the ground.
These projects span energy efficiency, renewable energy, smart infrastructure, education, and environmental recovery.
GreenPublicBuildings #RORS00339
The partners are upgrading public infrastructure with advanced thermal insulation and smart energy monitoring systems.
SMART BORDERS #RORS00340
Nine border crossing points are being modernised to reduce environmental impact while improving operational efficiency.
C-RENEW #RORS00342
A cross-border education network is being developed, featuring VR labs and pilot plants to train the next generation in renewable energy and electric vehicle technologies.
REVALOR #RORS00343
A closed landfill in Balint (Romania) is being transformed into a solar energy hub, while waste treatment in Pančevo (Serbia) is being upgraded to significantly reduce methane emissions.
Eco-Administration #RORS00344
A “Climate-Smart” model is taking shape in Giroc, Gottlob, and Veliko Gradište, spanning heritage preservation, digital water monitoring, and smart local governance.
Our shared goals
✅ Reduce greenhouse gas emissions
✅ Promote renewable energy (solar, wind, geothermal)
✅ Improve energy efficiency in public buildings and border infrastructure
✅ Strengthen regional education and smart governance
Together, we are building a more resilient, low-emission future for communities on both sides of the border.
Stay tuned for updates as these projects move forward!
