Inspiring young people to explore their region through cycling and sustainable tourism

Timișoara recently hosted an Inspirational Forum on Active Mobility, bringing together young participants, experts, and local stakeholders to explore how cycling can shape the future of local communities and tourism.

The event is part of the “Cycling ROSE – EuroVelo13 in Banat” project, which supports the development of cycling routes connected to the European EuroVelo 13 – Iron Curtain Trail, promoting sustainable tourism and highlighting the cultural and natural heritage of the Banat region.

Beyond infrastructure, the project focuses on people, encouraging young generations to discover local stories, communities, and opportunities through active mobility.

From dialogue to real experiences, participants connected ideas with practice, exploring cycling as a modern, healthy, and sustainable way to travel.

Driven by cooperation, powered by the European Union.
This project is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Romania-Serbia Programme, connecting communities across borders and building a shared vision for the future.
