Access to quality healthcare is vital in rural areas. With over 70,000 people living far from hospitals in the Almăj Valley (RO) and rural Pančevo (RS), the need is urgent.

On May 7, we launched the cross-border project “Equal Access for Vulnerable Groups to Healthcare Services in Banat”, aimed at bringing new medical centres, mobile units, equipment, and joint health campaigns to the communities of Bozovici (RO) and Pančevo (RS).

This partnership will provide:
✅ A new Medical Centre in Bozovici with 5 specialised consultation rooms
✅ An ambulance and modern medical equipment for improved local services
✅ Four medical vehicles and a 7+1 transport van for dialysis patients in Pančevo
✅ Medical campaigns and cross-border exchanges of good practices

Together, Romania and Serbia are building a healthier future — one step at a time.

This project is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Romania-Serbia Programme.
