Better facilities. Better care. Stronger cross-border cooperation.

A renovated operating theatre, new medical equipment and a return to full activity mark an important step forward at General Hospital “Đorđe Jovanović” in Zrenjanin, Serbia.

The first procedure performed in the renovated operating theatre — a percutaneous nephrostomy — demonstrates how investment in healthcare infrastructure can help create improved conditions for both patients and medical professionals.

Through the CROSSCARE project, partners from Romania and Serbia are working together to advance cancer diagnosis and care, strengthen medical expertise and improve healthcare services across the border.

The project is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Romania–Serbia Programme.
