Healthcare closer to people in the Romania-Serbia border region

The new Bozovici Medical Centre recently opened its doors, making it much easier for people in the Almaj Valley to see a specialist.

For older people and families in rural villages this means shorter journeys and better medical care closer to home.

The centre provides expert care in five main areas:

❤️ Heart health (cardiology)

🩺 General medicine (internal medicine)

🧸 Children’s health (paediatrics)

🧠 Brain and nerve care (neurology)

👩‍⚕️ Women’s health (gynaecology)

Whether it’s a patient needing regular check-ups for a long-term illness or a young family looking for local support, the centre is there to help.

This project, with a total budget of €581,030.23 titled “Equality in access for vulnerable groups to healthcare services in Banat” is a joint effort between partners in Romania and Serbia.

It is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Romania-Serbia Programme.
