Through a strategic importance Romanian–Serbian cross-border project, the Serbian Border Police now benefit from modern patrol vehicles – essential tools for ensuring safety and fostering cooperation along our shared border. Because security at the EU’s external border begins with strong partnerships, this is more than just an investment — it’s a contribution to the safety of all Europe, supporting citizen protection and reinforcing our common frontiers.

🔹 This project strengthens border management through targeted investments, including:

• the rehabilitation and extension of the Vârciorova Conference Centre headquarters, which will serve as a training hub for staff
• the construction of a docking pontoon in Moldova Veche for vessels patrolling the Danube
• and the provision of specialised security equipment to the Serbian Border Police, including surveillance poles fitted with modern monitoring technology.

The “Safer Climate within the Romanian–Serbian Border Area” project is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Romania–Serbia Programme.
