With the support of the European Union, the “Emmaus” Residential Care Centre for the Elderly in Ciacova will receive a brand-new recreation centre, a much-needed space where seniors can come together, socialise, and enjoy meaningful activities.
This cross-border initiative strengthens inclusion and community spirit across our region!
For the partner in Ciacova, the project will provide:
✅ Six modern modular containers, including a medical office, physiotherapy room, family meeting area, and storage units
✅ Solar panels with a 10-kWh energy storage system
✅ Ten electric beds for enhanced comfort
✅ Improved walkways around the facility
This investment modernises infrastructure and enriches the everyday lives of our elderly citizens, offering welcoming spaces to connect, stay active, support their health, and enjoy well-deserved moments of joy and peace.
All the RORS00223 project partners (Gerontological Centre Kikinda, Caritas Banat Sanctus Gerhardus Association, and the Town of Deta) will benefit from rehabilitation works or upgraded infrastructure, as well as improved professional knowledge through training, workshops, and shared tools.
The €1.7 million project is co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Romania-Serbia Programme.
