On this World Cancer Day, we are proud to highlight four impactful projects co-funded by the European Union through the Interreg IPA Romania-Serbia Programme. These initiatives are working across borders to ensure that every patient receives the specialised care, early diagnosis, and personalised treatment they deserve.

🔹 RORS-ONCO-TEAM (Jems Code: RORS00009

Together we can beat cancer.

This project is focused on improving healthcare services for early diagnosis and innovative treatment in Timisoara and Drobeta-Turnu Severin (Romania), as well as Kladovo and Veliko Gradiste (Serbia).

💰 Total Budget: € 4,999,311.44

🔹 CROSSCARE (Jems Code: RORS00040

Cross-border cooperation to foster the resilience of clinical management in cancer patients by establishing best practices in personalized molecular-based diagnostics, treatment, and long-term care.

This project enhances clinical management through personalised molecular-based diagnostics and training for oncology professionals.

🔹 HEPASKIN (Jems Code: RORS00307

Promoting resilience of health systems and equal access to skin and liver care through screening and treatment solutions.

This collaboration seeks to reduce skin and liver cancer rates through large-scale screening programmes and advanced training in specialised surgery and dermatology.

💰 Total Budget: € 2,041,920.48

🔹 CROSS-HEALTH (Jems Code: RORS00270

Improving accessibility and effectiveness of screening centers in the Cross border area of the municipalities of Sečanj, Nova Crnja and Deta.

The project focuses on delivering modern preventive services and mobile healthcare solutions directly to residents of rural and ageing communities.

By investing in modern equipment, joint medical strategies, and cross-border knowledge exchange, these projects are closing the care gap and saving lives every day.
